EHEDG MACEDONIAN REGIONAL SECTION OPENENIG

EHEDG Macedonian Regional Section OPENENIG CEREMONY was held on April 29th, 2010 in the Macedonian Economic Chamber ceremonial hall. The event was organized by EHEDG Macedonian Regional Section headquarter - Consulting and Training Center KEY in cooperation with the Macedonian Economic Chamber. Same day for all interested parties was organized the FIRST EHEDG Macedonian Regional Section INFORMATIVE MEETING.

The informative meeting was attended by 80 guests, representatives of: Food Producers, Food Equipment Manufacturers, Scientific and Research Institutions, Ministries, Agencies, Food Directorate and more.

The event was led by the of the Macedonian Regional Section President, Prof. Dr  Vladimir Kakurinov. Ms. Stojmirka Tasevska from the Chamber of Commerce, had the welcoming speech. There were also two presentations held by two higely valued EHEDG representatives, Mr. Huub Leliveld, honorary EHEDG President and Mr. Piet Steenaard, responsible for EHEDG finances.

The event was followed by almost all national electronic and printed media.

MAIN OBJECTIVE
The main objective of EHEDG is to promote food safety by improving hygienic engineering and design in all aspects of food production.

MAIN TASKS
EHEDG provides practical management of hygienic engineering aspects of the safe and quality food production. Founded in 1989, a consortium of manufacturers of equipment, producers of food products, researchers and educational institutions and public health authorities aimed to promote food hygiene in the production and packaging.

EHEDG actively supports the legislation under which requests handling, preparation, processing and packaging of food must be carried out hygienically, using machinery and hygienic sanitary facilities (EC Directive 98/37/EC, EN 1672-2 and EN ISO 14159).

SCOPE OF WORK
EHEDG focus on engineering in food production, particularly:

·   Equipment and building design as well as cleanabillity

·   Equipment and building instalation

·   Industrial services, equipment and utilities

·   Maintenance of assets

ACTIVITIES
Until now, experts in the subgroups of EHEDG drafted and published almost 40 manuals which are regularly updated. In the meantime, this series of manuals are enriched with new titles and themes. EHEDG manuals have special value to consumers because:

·   They contain a set of expert knowledge

·   The theory is put into practice, supplemented by practical oriented training modules

·   They are translated into different languages and used worldwide
